Philippians 4:13

Both Romans 8:28 and Philippians 4:13, written by the Apostle Paul, reassure and feel similar but have a unique message.

Romans 8:28 has a number of points. Here are a few of them:

  • God has a purpose for those He has called.
  • He notices everything that happens on Earth, and none of it prevents His purpose.
  • Within the context of trials, we know it is good for those He has called. Read James 1 for more on this: “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials…”
  • This Romans verse applies to “those who love God.” To those who love Him, the second commandment expounds on God’s mercy to those who keep His commandments. He shows “mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments” (Exodus 20:6).
